A MAN has been charged after he was allegedly caught urinating on the Anzac Memorial in Sydney’s CBD overnight.
The 25-year-old was walking through Hyde Park just after midnight when police allege he approached the south-eastern side of the Anzac Memorial and began to urinate on the building.
Security officers detained the man before police arrived and took him into custody.
He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with commit offensive act in, on war memorial/interment site.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 24 February.
