A man and two children have died following a horror crash on NSW’s North Coast overnight.

The trio were travelling in a twin cab ute when it left a rural roadway and struck a tree at around 9.30pm Saturday.

It happened along Kangaroo Creek Road in Coutts Crossing, which is around 30km south of Grafton.

The driver, a 43-year-old man, and the two passengers, a 14-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, tragically died at the scene.

Officers have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
