A multi-agency search is continuing this morning for a man who went missing in a river in northern NSW overnight.

Officers were called to Kangaroo Creek Road at Kangaroo Creek, around 35km south of Grafton, around 10.20pm, following reports a 4WD had crashed.

The officers weren’t able to reach the 4WD, however, briefly sighted a man near the vehicle before he entered the river”.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, has not been seen since.

A search of the river and surrounding area was launched immediately after the crash, involving local police and members of the SES.

The search will continue today, and will also include police divers, the Dog Unit, and PolAir.
