80yo man charged with possessing child abuse, bestiality material

An elderly man has been charged with possessing hundreds of child abuse and bestiality videos.

The 80-year-old was arrested at a home in Cordeaux Heights on Monday after officer raided the man’s property last month.

During the search, detectives seized several electronic devices allegedly containing 449 child abuse videos and 1,080 Bestiality videos.

“Police will allege between March and August, the 80-year-old man downloaded approximately 2600 files of child abuse and bestiality material,” NSW Police said.

The elderly man has now been charged with 12 counts of possess child abuse material and 7 counts of Possess Bestiality Material.

He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court.
