An urgent recall has been issued for a popular baby toy sold byone of the country’s biggest retailers
The recall affects ELC Little Senses Lights & Sounds Shape Sorter sold mostly from Target.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission warns the product’s red sorting cube, which has a clear top, may break, releasing a small ball.
It says the product may not comply with the size requirements of the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.
The ACCC says it may pose a choking hazard for young children if the small ball is released.
Consumers who have bought the product are being urged to immediately remove the red cube and dispose of it.
People who purchased the product from Target should contact the retailer to request a replacement cube.
Anyone who bought the product elsewhere should contact Modern Brands
