Powerball will jackpot to its second highest level on record after the $100 million dollar prize failed to go off.
Despite the huge rush for tickets, there were no Division One entries on Thursday night.
Powerball will now jackpot to a whopping $150 million next week.
That’s just shy of the record $160 million Powerball prize offered in 2022.
While there were no Division One winners last night, 3,445,440 prizes were won, worth more than $71 million.
But spare a thought for the 15 Aussies who were just one number off winning the big one, having to settle for the Division Two prize of $132,040.20.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hodbell says there is bound to be plenty of excitement ahead of next week’s draw.
“We expect a surge in lottery outlets and online as we approach Thursday night’s multi-million-dollar draw, with up to half of Australian adults expected to have an entry into the draw.
“To give an indication of the scale of excitement projected for the upcoming draw, the peak of sales for this week’s $100 million Powerball draw was at 5.46pm when Aussies grabbed 7,224 entries in a single minute.”
The winning numbers in last night’s draw were 21, 31 17, 22, 20, 24 and 34 while the Powerball number was 6.
