New South Wales has recorded 20,324 new cases of COVID-19 along with 34 deaths.

Of the new cases up to 8pm yesterday, 6704 were positive rapid tests, with 6165 of those from tests over the last seven days.

The state continues to see a decline in the number of people being treated in hospital.

There are currently 2,712 COVID patients in hospital, down from 2762 on Saturday.

The number of patients in ICU has fallen from 204 to 189.

Meantime, Victoria’s case numbers continue to drop with 13,091 reported on Sunday.

The state also recorded a further 14 deaths.

There are currently 1002 people being treated in hospital, down from 2019 on Saturday, with 120 in ICU.
