COVID-19 cases in New South Wales have fallen overnight with 8,950 new infections detected today.
That’s down significantly from 10,130 new cases recorded yesterday.
Sadly, the state has also recorded a further 19 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Hospitalisations continue to fall as well, with 1,715 now being treated for the virus in hospital, down from 1,795 on Thursday.
The number of patients in ICU has also fallen from 121 to 108.
In Victoria, there’s been 8,521 new cases recorded today, along with a further 13 deaths.
There are currently 553 people being treated in hospitals across the state, including 82 in ICU.
