The man who was punched after allegedly yelling out during a minute’s silence at an NRL game has been hit with over $1600 worth of fines.
The incident happened at the Broncos v Bulldogs clash on Friday night at Suncorp Stadium, when the 45-year-old man allegedly made disrespectful remarks during the silence.
The nasty fight was caught on film and posted on social media, which quickly circulated online.
In the video, the man is seen to be repeatedly hit until he falls backwards into the row of chairs behind him.
The footage shows the crowd clapping and cheering on the fight.
The man has copped one $827 fine for obstructing police, and another $827 fine for disorderly behaviour.
Meanwhile, the man who was shown throwing the punches has yet to be handed any charges or fines.
The Brisbane Broncos have also warned that those involved in the brawl may face a Suncorp Stadium ban.
