Newsagents across the country are bracing for a busy day as Aussies flock to grab a ticket into tonight’s massive $100 million Powerball draw.

The prize is the equal biggest jackpot that’s been on offer so far this year, soaring to the eye-watering number after no one held the winning ticket over the past five weeks.

Half of all Australian adults are expected to grab an entry, in the hopes of becoming the country’s newest multi-millionaire.

“Our best advice to Aussies vying for a chance to win this mammoth multi-million-dollar prize is to get in early and don’t leave purchasing your entry until the last minute!” The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said.

“Our tip to players is to register any Powerball entries to a player card or online account so they can be contacted immediately after the draw should they score a slice of the division one prize.

“We also recommend players ensure their contact details are up to date as we will want to reveal the life-changing news as soon as possible!

“We’re ready and willing to crown our equal second-biggest winner in lottery history if one player takes home the entire $100 million Powerball prize.”

The last time a $100 million prize was on offer, ticket sales soared at 6.29pm when more than 8,227 tickets were sold in a single minute.

Those hoping to nab an entry have just hours left, with the Powerball draw closing at 7.30pm AEST tonight.

Good luck!
