A newborn baby has died in tragic circumstances after a suspected dog attack on the NSW far south coast.
The five-week-old baby was brought to Moruya Hospital by the infant’s parents after suffering serious head injuries late Saturday night.
Two rottweiler-type dogs have since been seized by rangers from the family’s home.
Police were called to the hospital to investigate following the infant’s death shortly after midnight.
Moruya is a small town in the Eurobodalla region, around 300km south of Sydney.
A police investigation is ongoing.
More to come.
