Bunnings will be accepting Afterpay payments in-store from today as Australians look to split the upfront cost of their future projects.

There is no minimum spend to access the service from any Bunnings store across the country, allowing customers to split the cost of their purchases across four, interest-free fortnightly installments.

Users who miss payments will be charged 25 per cent of the payment as a late fee, or $68, depending on whichever is lower.

Afterpay’s country manager Katrina Konstas said the service will allow customers to have more choice and flexibility when planning expensive renovation projects.

“Australia is a nation of DIYers with a passion for their homes and gardens, and nothing embodies this more than our national love for Bunnings,” Ms Konstas said.

“We are excited that Afterpay will now be available to Bunnings’ shoppers, which will help Aussies to create inviting spaces within their homes, while balancing their budget.”

To checkout with Afterpay in Bunnings, customers will need to first install the Afterpay App, and add the Afterpay Card to their digital wallet.
