The man accused of abducting four-year-old Cleo Smith in Western Australia is due back in court today.
Cleo was discovered alone in a home in Carnarvon in the early hours of November last year, after allegedly being abducted from the Blowholes Shacks campsite while sleeping with her family.
It sparked a major two-week search across the whole country before the youngster was finally found and reunited with her parents.
Her alleged kidnapper has been charged with multiple offences, including forcibly taking a child under 16.
The 36-year-old is also facing a new charge of assaulting a public officer.
He’s due to face a magistrate via videolink from custody today.
