Investigations will continue today after a surfer was left with serious injuries after being hit by a boat at Palm Beach.
The 64-year-old was out paddling on his board when he was struck by a boat propeller just before 6am on Sunday.
He suffered potentially life-threatening leg and abdominal injuries in the collision.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Water police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
