It’s the most wonderful time of year and in a dazzling holiday spectacle, a Gold Coast shopping centre is now adorned with fourteen spectacular Christmas trees, each creatively decorated by local non-profit organisations.

The festive display at Q Super Centre Mermaid Waters, located between Coles and Woolworths, invites shoppers to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit and cast their votes for the most enchanting tree.

The stakes are high, as the charity securing the most votes will receive a substantial $5,000 donation—a significant boost to their cause. Prizes also await charities in second, third, and fourth places, ensuring a widespread impact on the community.

This year’s tree lineup boasts distinctive tales of creativity and purpose.

Merrimac State High leads the charge, championing recycling and sustainability by repurposing materials from the previous year and incorporating paper offcuts from various projects.

Meanwhile, Support The Girls charity, dedicated to fostering dignity and self-worth through bra gifting events, has adorned their tree with vibrant, symbolic bras.
