Hopeful Australians will spend the day dreaming of retirement at work today, with a whopping $150 million up for grabs in tonight’s Powerball draw.
The life-changing prize is the second-biggest jackpot ever offered in Australian lottery history, with thousands of entries per minute expected to be snapped up at newsagents and online.
The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said up to half of all Australian adults were expected to buy a ticket, in the hopes of writing their name into the lottery record books.
“This is the second largest jackpot offered by any Australian lotteries game in history! Which means we’re anticipating a rush online and within licensed retail outlets in the lead-up to the draw,” he said. “We’re often asked for our advice and our biggest tip to lottery players vying for a chance to win this mammoth prize is to get in early and don’t leave purchasing your entry until the last minute! “As the clock continues to tick down and get closer to the time of the draw, I’m sure Australians are dreaming of what could be and how their lives would inevitably change if they snagged a piece of the division one pie. “It’s difficult to fathom, but so exciting for Aussies to have the opportunity to change their lives with a $150 million prize!”Those hoping to become the country’s newest multi-millionaire now have just hours left to enter, with the Powerball draw closing at 7.30pm AEST tonight.
Good luck!
