Twenty-three years after the first film, Bridget Jones is reportedly set to begin filming a fourth instalment.
Renée Zellweger is slated to reprise her iconic role as Bridget, alongside Colin Firth and Hugh Grant, who will also return as Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver.
Drawing inspiration from Helen Fielding’s 2013 novel, ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy’, the upcoming film will see Bridget navigating the complexities of modern romance as a 51-year-old single mother of two.
The storyline includes Bridget’s adventures in the world of dating apps and social media, adding a contemporary twist to her journey.
Filming is scheduled to commence in May and expected to be released later this year.
Couldn’t help myself, here’s the trailer for the original:
