A young woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a car in Logan.
The 18-year-old was struck while walking along Browns Plains Road near Third Avenue in Marsden around 7.15pm on Thursday.
Police say the driver of the car stopped and rendered assistance, and is continuing to assist officers with their inquiries.
Detectives are also appealing for anyone who saw the woman walking on Browns Plains Road, particularly two cars that passed her while she may have been on the road itself, to contact them.
Drivers with dash-cam from the area are also being urged to come forward.
The woman remains in the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
