A woman has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car on the Gold Coast this morning.
The woman was struck along Markeri Street in Clear Island Waters just after 7am.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police remain on scene at the moment, with reports the vehicle involved has been seized as investigations into the crash continue.
The man behind the wheel managed to escape physical injury.
Motorists are being warned of a few delays in the area.
