A woman has been rescued after spending the night in bushland following a fall in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

The woman in her 60s fell on a trail near Larapinta Falls in the Lamington National Park around 2.45pm on Sunday.

She suffered back and wrist injuries in the accident.

Emergency services were forced to trek through the park, eventually reaching the woman just before 9pm.

With a rescue helicopter unable to be used, rescuers spent another eight hours evacuating the woman through the rainforest.

The woman was transported to Logan Hospital just after 5am in a stable condition.
