A woman has been rescued after falling while hiking through Lamington National Park.

Emergency Services were called to O’Reilly’s late on Monday afternoon after reports a woman had been injured.

The hiker was with a group of people when it’s understood she fell several metres, knocking her head.

Rangers located the woman before bringing her out to safety.

The woman was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury.

A second person was also rescued from the scene after reportedly becoming disoriented during the rescue mission.

The woman had walked for 20 minutes to try to get phone reception to call emergency services.

She was located by Polair before rangers assisted her in walking out.

She was uninjured and did not require transport to hospital.
