A woman has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a bus in Southport.
It happened at a pedestrian crossing on Hinze Street just after 8am.
The 41-year-old suffered potentially life-threatening head injuries including skull fractures and bleeding on the brain.
She has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
Police have cordoned off all of Hinze Street for the Forensic Crash Unit to investigate.
The bus-driver is assisting police with enquiries.
