A woman has been hospitalised after a fire broke out in a Surfers Paradise high-rise.
The blaze erupted in a unit on the second floor of a building along Surfers Paradise Boulevard around 5.30pm on Monday.
Witnesses reported seeing smoke billowing from the property.
Thankfully fire crews rushed to the scene and managed to douse the flames pretty quickly.
A woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
