A woman’s been hospitalised with smoke inhalation following a fire in Surfers Paradise.
Firefighters rushed to a commercial business on Thomas Drive just after 5.30 this morning.
It’s understood the fire was only small and was out by the time fire crews arrived, but it did cause a significant amount of smoke.
Two fire crews remain on scene at the time of writing at 7.15am to test the smoke levels and make the area safe.
Paramedics have taken the woman in her 20s to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.
No word yet on what sparked the blaze.
