A woman remains in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in a brazen daylight shooting on the southern Gold Coast.
The 33-year-old is believed to have been sitting in the passenger seat of a car on Trees Road in Tallebudgera around 3.30pm on Wednesday when she was struck by the bullet.
According to Queensland Police detectives, the car had been parked there for a couple of hours.
The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where she remains fighting for life.
A crime scene has been declared at the property with investigations ongoing.
Police are appealing for anyone with information, including any dashcam vision in the area at the time, to come forward.
