Woman charged with drink driving after Main Beach crash

A woman has been given a notice to appear in court following a crash in an underground car park in Main Beach.

Police were called to a complex on Breaker Street around 9.30pm on Wednesday after a woman smashed her car into a pole in the car park.

The 62-year-old suffered minor injuries in the smash and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

A Gold Coast police spokesperson told myGC the Main Beach resident was given a notice to appear for drink driving.

She will face Southport Court in a fortnight.

Her licence has also been suspended.
