A woman has been arrested and a man remains on the run following a dramatic ram raid at a Paradise Point chemist.
A black Range Rover, suspected of being stolen, smashed through the front glass doors of the Grice Avenue business around 1.30am on Thursday.
Gold Coast police were on scene within three minutes, allowing officers to stop the thieves in their tracks by boxing the stolen vehicle in.
The driver fled the scene on foot, however, the 25-year-old female passenger was taken into custody.
Fortunately, all stock, including vital cancer medication, has been recovered.
However, the business has sustained significant damage, with the owners left with a hefty and costly clean-up this morning.
Investigations to track down the second person involved are ongoing, with police appealing for anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
