Woman arrested after cop car t-boned on Gold Coast

Two officers have been hospitalised after their police van was t-boned by another vehicle on the Gold Coast early this morning.

An Audi A3 was coming out of a side street at the intersection of Boea Street and Olsen Avenue in Arundel around 4.30am when it struck the police vehicle.

Both officers were taken to hospital for observation, while the driver of the other vehicle, a 49-year-old woman, was taken into custody.

She is continuing to assist police with investigations.

Police have confirmed the Audi the woman was driving was not stolen.
