A stolen French bulldog has been found and over $50,000 worth of drugs have been seized following a search at a Surfers Paradise unit.

Gold Coast detectives issued a search warrant on a Ferny Avenue premises around 4pm yesterday, where they found little Mercedes the French bulldog.

She had been reported stolen from a residence on Old Burleigh Road at Surfers Paradise on May 15.

Police have released bodycam footage of the raid, which shows Mercedes eventually being reunited with her family.

Officers also found large quantities of crystal methylamphetamine, Xanax, GHB and around $5, 700 in cash throughout the unit.

A second French bulldog at the unit was not stolen.

A Surfers Paradise woman and Tugan man were arrested at the scene and have since been charged.

The duo, both age 35, have both been charged with five counts of possess dangerous drugs and one count each of supply dangerous drugs, possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of an offence under Drugs Misuse Act and possess utensil.

Both are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.

While police were executing the search, another woman aged 59 attended the unit and was detained by police.

The Surfers Paradise woman has been given a notice to appear for counts of possess dangerous drug and is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on October 7.
