A manhunt is underway after a Southport petrol station was robbed at gunpoint.
A hooded man entered the servo along Marine Parade just after 1am this morning, before opening his jacket at the counter to reveal a hidden gun.
He then threatened the employee and demanded money from the cash register.
The worker complied and was not physically injured in the frightening ordeal.
The man fled the scene on foot with a wad of cash, along with two chocolate bars and a can of coke he also helped himself too.
Police have released CCTV vision of the wanted man in hopes he can be tracked down.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision are also urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
