Queensland Ballet has returned to HOTA’s Outdoor Stage for another exclusive Gold Coast season.

Their newest production, Moonlight Ballet, kicks off from today and will feature an explosion of music, colour, and rock ‘n’ roll swagger under the stars, inspired by the music of the Rolling Stones and the swinging 60s.

“I cannot begin to tell you how fabulous it is to welcome Queensland Ballet back to this incredible Outdoor Stage, so I cannot wait for this weekend,” HOTA CEO Criena Gehrke said.

“Our audiences have always loved Queensland Ballet, and we’re thrilled to welcome them back for another exclusive Gold Coast season.”

The fusion of colourful kitsch and seamless contemporary choreography is presented to a recording of hit 60s pop songs, with each new song phased in through the sound of a spinning vinyl record.
