Local beach-goers were given a fright after spotting a python slithering across a popular coastal path.
The snake was spotted at Miami beach yesterday afternoon.
It comes as experts urge Gold Coasters to take caution with snake season well and truly kicked in.
Locals gave the python a wide berth, and were seen pulling their dogs away from the animal.
Kristianna Rick was walking with her family when she spotted the snake, with her husband Mark jumping into action.
It was headed towards the roadway, so Mark pulled the snake back towards the grassed area and over the fence.
