Police have released vision showing the shocking moment a man is punched in the face outside a popular bar in Mermaid Beach as the hunt for his alleged attacker continues.
The one-punch attack occurred in the busy Nobby Beach precinct on Saturday, June 5 last year.
According to police, the 30-year-old victim was standing in line to enter a bar when he was punched to the left side of his face by a man who was not known to him.
He suffered two broken teeth and a lacerated lip and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The man accused of throwing the punch fled the scene immediately after by running across the Gold Coast Highway.
Detectives are appealing for the man, or anyone who may recognise him, to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
