Detectives from the Organised Crime Gangs Group, Taskforce Maxima, have this morning arrested a 39-year-old alleged bikie member in relation to a vicious assault in Canungra.

The attack took place around 9.45am in September 2021, when a group of seven men entered the Outpost Café and approached two men.

CCTV footage released of the attack shows one of the seven group members then allegedly violently punch a 66-year-old man.

The group then fled the scene in a Ford Ranger and Toyota Tarago, while the man received serious injuries from the bashing.

One man, alleged to be part of the Iron Horseman Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, has been charged with a string of offences in relation to the attack.

Taskforce Maxima Detectives are still on the hunt for the remaining six men involved.

Police say the two men and the group were not known to each other but that a verbal altercation had occurred just before 9am on Beaudesert Nerang Road.
