UPDATE @ 11.25AM | Two teenagers have been charged, while another has been released, following an alleged stolen vehicle chase through the Gold Coast overnight.
A Black BMW was stolen from a Hollywell address overnight, before being spotted in Runaway Bay by Police.
The vehicle failed to stop, with officers successfully deploying a tyre spike at Hope Island just before 1.30am.
The three teens alleged to be involved eventually came to a stop on nearby Tamborine Oxenford Road.
The stolen vehicle was also busted fleeing without paying when re-fuelling at a Coombabah petrol station on Oxley Drive.
Two girls and one boy were immediately taken into custody.
A 16-year-old Strathpine boy has been denied police bail and charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, evade police, unlicensed driving, enter dwelling and commit indictable offence and fraud.
A 13-year-old Sandgate girl has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter dwelling and commit indictable offence.
Both are due appear before Southport Children’s Court.
The third teen, a 15-year-old Brisbane girl, has been released without charge.
EARLIER @ 5.40AM | Three teenagers have been arrested following a stolen vehicle chase on the Gold Coast overnight.
Police were forced to deploy tyre spikes to stop the luxury car in Helensvale early Saturday morning.
The car was successfully stopped on Hope Island Road around 1.30am.
Three juveniles, aged 13, 15 and 16 were taken into custody at the scene.
The BMW X3 wagon had been stolen from a Hollywell property earlier in the morning.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
