It’s been a busy morning for lifeguards at Gold Coast beaches, with two people pulled from the surf just minutes apart.
Lifeguards pulled a man in his 30s from the water at Miami after he got into trouble around 8.30am on Saturday.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said he was conscious and breathing by the time paramedics arrived.
He has since been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Just 15 minutes later a man, believed to be in his late teens, was pulled from the surf at Main Beach by lifesavers.
He had shortness of breath and was also taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
