Two people, including a teen, have been arrested after allegedly driving dangerously across parts of the Gold Coast in a stolen car.
Police spotted a stolen blue Honda Accord driving in a dangerous manner along Smith St in Southport around 1.15am on Friday morning.
The Honda is alleged to have been stolen from a home on Merrimac Boulevard in Broadbeach Waters on Thursday morning.
Officers tracked the car to Surfers Paradise before deploying two tyre spikes on the Gold Coast Highway.
The devices were successful in deflating the vehicle’s tyres, however, the car continued at a rolling speed along the highway.
Officers used their patrol cars to block the road and bring the stolen car to a stop.
An adult male and a teenage boy were arrested without incident.
No one was injured and the Police vehicles only sustained minor scratches.
Investigations are continuing.
