Two men have been charged over an alleged violent assault in Surfers Paradise that left two other men in hospital, one in a serious condition.
Police were called to a unit complex along Peninsular Drive around 6.00pm on Wednesday following reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, they found two men aged in their 40s suffering head injuries.
The pair was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
One was transported stable, while the other was taken in a serious condition.
Two other men, aged 23 and 36, were found nearby and arrested.
The younger man has since been charged with two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs, grievous bodily harm, and one count of enter dwelling with intent.
While the older man is facing two counts of grievous bodily harm, and one count of enter dwelling with intent.
Both were refused police bail and were due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
