Two teenage boys from the Gold Coast are in custody following a string of alleged break-ins on Brisbane’s northside.

The boys, aged 13 and 14, are accused of targeting homes in Bridgeman Downs in the early hours of August 21.

Police allege they attempted to break-in to two homes and where successful on a third home, where a a blue 2014 Lexus was stolen from a garage.

The stolen vehicle was located at Arundel on August 22.

Both boys were arrested and refused police bail and have faced Southport Children’s Court.

The 13-year-old boy from Coolangatta has been charged with two counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night whilst armed in company and one count each of enter dwelling and commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The 14-year-old boy from Labrador has been charged with two counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night whilst armed in company and one count each of enter dwelling and commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
