A truck driver has managed a lucky escape, after a terrifying crash down an embankment in Clagiraba.
The b-double truck smashed through a guard rail and careened 40 metres down the embankment on the corner of Henri Robert Drive and King Parrot Court around 4.15pm this afternoon.
The driver suffered hip pain and minor injuries and has been taken to the Gold Coast Uni hospital in a stable condition.
Q-FES confirmed three crews are on the scene making the area safe and have disconnected the battery in the truck.
A Queensland Police spokesperson says the road has now been cleared and Council have been notified about the guard rail.
Police are investigating.
