Traffic nightmare on the M1 Gold Coast after truck spills its load

Traffic is at a standstill on the M1 northbound this afternoon due to a truck losing its load.

Witnesses report seeing concrete slabs come off the back of the truck at Oxenford just before Exit 57.

Debris has been strewn across all laneways and traffic is crawling all the way back to Highland Park as of 4.00pm.

Police are on scene helping to direct traffic.
