LATEST @ 1.30 PM | One person has been taken to hospital following a nasty multi-vehicle crash on the M1 this afternoon.
At least two trucks and a number of cars collided southbound just before Exit 75 at Worongary around 12.15pm.
Four people were assessed at the scene by paramedics, but only one needed to be transported to hospital for further treatment.
The motorist has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, with just one lane open southbound.
At the time of writing (1.30pm) southbound traffic was back to Gaven, with northbound traffic also starting to bank up.

It’s understood just one lane is open.
Queensland Ambulance has confirmed paramedics are assessing four patients who are currently stable.
