Tradies perform citizen's arrest in Broadbeach after stolen car crash

Dramatic scenes in Broadbeach after an alleged stolen car smashed into a pole.

The male behind the wheel attempted to do a runner after the crash on Surf Parade near Chelsea Avenue, with nearby tradies jumping into action.

Footage shows the accused pinned down on the ground by the group of males who were forced to perform a citizen’s arrest.

Police have confirmed they arrived and took the 25-year-old male driver into custody.

The vehicle was a Ford Mondeo, and had been stolen from a Bilambil Heights address on June 13.
