A toddler has been rushed to hospital after nearly drowning on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
The boy was pulled from a pool at a hotel along The Esplanade in Surfers Paradise around 3.40pm.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed he was transported in a serious but stable condition.
It comes just 24 hours after paramedics issued a warning to Gold Coast families following an alarming spike in near-drownings at our beaches and pools.
Authorities have been called to 11 incidents already this year, with the city declared the busiest region in the state for post-immersion emergencies.
