Gold Coast Titans winger Corey Thompson has announced his retirement from professional Rugby League.
The 32-year-old, who was contracted with the Titans until the end of the 2023 season, has decided to hang up the boots after 122 games in the NRL.
Both the Gold Coast Titans and Thompson announced the news on social media on Friday afternoon.
“I’ve been lucky enough to call this my job for the past 10 years,” Thompson wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a collage of himself wearing the jerseys of all four clubs he represented.
“Thank you to the 4 clubs I’ve been a part of for allowing me to represent your organisation,” he said.
“I’ve made lifelong friends along the way that I’m so grateful for.
“Thank you to all the people that supported me along the way and my partner for making this decision easier.
“I can’t wait to see what the future holds”.

Thompson made his NRL debut with the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2014, playing in the grand final that year.
He then moved to England, where he played for the Widnes Vikings in the Super League, before returning to the NRL with the Wests Tigers in 2019.
The following year, Thompson signed a three-year deal with the Gold Coast Titans, where he played 43 games over three seasons.
