A major investigation is underway following a brazen ram-raid on a tobacco shop in Upper Coomera early this morning.
Thieves used a white ute to smash their way into the front of the business along Reserve Road around 4am.
Once inside, the offenders then chained an ATM to the vehicle before taking off with it.
Police say the ute was last seen heading west up Oxenford Tamborine Road.
It was found around an hour later engulfed in flames along Jourdana Drive in Cedar Creek.
A search is now underway to track down those responsible.
