Thieves on the run after raiding Gold Coast tobacconist

Police are on the hunt for a group of thieves who raided a tobacco store in Helensvale early this morning.

The “small group of males” allegedly broke into the Discovery Drive business just after 1am.

They managed to fill a bag with stolen goods, before making their escape in a black dual cab ute.

Police have launched an investigation into the break-and-enter and are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
