Teens flee stolen car fire on Gold Coast

Police are on the hunt for a group of teens after a car was set on fire and dumped on the Gold Coast.

The white Hyundai iX35 was found ablaze on the side of the M1 at Coomera around 1.30am on Monday morning.

Witnesses reportedly saw as many as five youths running from the scene.

Fire crews attended the scene and extinguished the blaze a short time later.

The vehicle was stolen from an address in Lyra Avenue at Hope Island between 9pm Sunday evening and 1am Monday morning.
