Teens charged over brazen gel blaster hold-up in Surfers Paradise

Three teenagers have been charged after allegedly threatening a man with a gel blaster in a terrifying attempted robbery in Surfers Paradise.

The brazen trio is accused of confronting the man along Hanlon Street around 11.30pm last night before trying to steal his phone.

Police were quick on the scene and managed to take the three boys into custody before anyone was injured.

Two 15-year-old boys have since been charged with attempted armed robbery and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.

They’re due to appear in Southport Childrens Court on November 15.

While a 17-year-old has been charged with attempted armed robbery and will front Southport Childrens Court today.
