Two teenage girls are at the centre of a major police search following a brazen robbery on the Gold Coast.

The pair is accused of carrying out a planned and calculated theft by breaking into a woman’s black Lexus at Robina Town Centre on Tuesday.

The duo then allegedly used documents found inside the vehicle to later break into the woman’s home, where they stole a spare set of keys.

The teens then returned to the local shopping centre where they stole the woman’s car, before going back to the victim’s home where they allegedly stole a number of items including jewellery.

They fled the scene in the stolen vehicle and remain at large this morning.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
